Word Bird Wednesday 10

It's Wednesday--well, Tuesday night-- and that can mean only one thing---Word Bird Wednesday with Springman over at The Pine River Review!  So, grab your camera, your love of birds and your desire to see some great pictures from all around the world and join us!

This week I am featuring my deck visitors.  There were several other visitors, but they wouldn't be still long enough for me to capture their picture.

Blue Jay who wanted to be left alone to feast.

Yellow-rumped warbler---such a pretty little bird.

My old friend the Cardinal.

Grackle alert!

And, at the bird bath (though it was still somewhat frozen):

A lone mourning dove.

This guy walks into a bar....

Saw the same birds out my window today except for the bath at the public bath house telling jokes! That was too cute.

Thanks for stopping by and I have to say you have some of the most beautiful photography I have come across. Gosh, your birds are beautiful. I have spent 3 months on my head practically trying to get a picture of a Eastern Phoebe. I never thought about putting out bird seed.
I really enjoyed them.

What a colourful garden you have with these visitors. The Cardinal and the Blue Jays are my favourites; such rich colours.

The blue jay is gorgeous and the final photo is very appealing too - they all look such great little characters. Are they grackles too?

You had a deck fullof awesome birds!! Some people think grackles are a PIA but I love them...they come over here in huge noisey flocks and sit in the tree and grumble for a while then move on...Great PHOTOS!!

Excellent bird shots. I have always loved Cardinals but have never seen one in real life. We don't have them out here. Same with the Blue Jay--we have Stellar Jays and they are all blue (so we call them blue Jays). MB

Dixxe- thanks! I enjoy them so very much!

Small- Cardinals were my dad's mother's favorite bird--I think that's why I love them so much. Plus they're RED which is my favorite color!

Great visitors to your garden, so bright even the grackles with their shiny blue. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
