Word Bird Wednesday

Time once again for Word Bird Wednesday!  You don't have to be an experienced bird watcher or photographer (Thank the LORD) to join in the fun.  All you really need is a love of birds--observing them, photographing them, feeding them, learning about them, sharing them, enjoying them--or just ooohing and ahhhing over the finds of others.  Whatever it is you enjoy about birds, join up with Springman's Word (yes, I do know that's is supposed to be WORLD, but I keep it WORD because of our host's poetic way with words) Bird Wednesday at The Pine River Review.  You won't be sorry--unless you miss it.

I'm a slacker.  I admit it freely.  I have other problems too, but they are totally irrelevant to birding.

This is, I THINK, a Caspian Tern.  At first I was going with another Laughing Gull but, based on intense research (read: Google images), I am going with Caspian Tern.  If I'm wrong (yet again) please just let me know and I will correct it (yet again).

This lovely creature was scanning the ponds for breakfast.

Your Tern is so angelic looking sweeping through the heavens like that! Really great in-flights Pam!

Great captures Pam.

Gulls and Terns are not my strong points for ID's, and you probably have very different ones there, to here.
I looked in one of my books though, and the Caspian Tern in mine, has a dark tip to the bill.
Hmmm, I'm confused lol

I know we've seen these on Folly Beach and thought they were in the gull family. What do we know? We're from CT?! haha.
