There are many pictures to be taken when one lives in touristy area. Our birds are particularly photogenic!

Word Bird Wednesday
Time once again for Word Bird Wednesday! You don't have to be an experienced bird watcher or photographer (Thank the LORD) to join in the fun. All you really need is a love of birds--observing them, photographing them, feeding them, learning about them, sharing them, enjoying them--or just ooohing and ahhhing over the finds of others. Whatever it is you enjoy about birds, join up with Springman's Word Bird Wednesday at The Pine River Review. You won't be sorry--unless you miss it.
The weather here has been in the 60s and 70s for at least 5 weeks. This week, we will see the 80s. I realize that some of you would love to have this weather, but for those of us who are somewhat....temperamental... as it gets hotter and hotter, the cooler weather suits best. I will say though, that the birds seem to be enjoying the warm weather. This week I am featuring the cardinals that frequent our feeders.
Mrs. doesn't usually pose for me.
As a matter of fact, she usually turns her back on me...
Or acts like she's not paying attention to me at all.
Then, there are times when she watches me to see what I'm up to.
Unless she's giving me 'the eye'...
Or looking at me like- WTH?!
It's rare when Mr. doesn't pose for me.
He enjoys his picture being taken straight on...
Or while trying to force a candid shot...
Or, being the male that he is, tries to put too much food in his mouth at one time...
One thing's for sure- whether it's one of those things or a nice profile shot--
Gorgeous photos of your "red birds" as we call them here...ITS time for them to start breeding and that will be fun to watch--I am not looking forward to the upcoming Summer Hibernation--its the worst time of the year for me..IF I play my cards right I hope to be traveling in the west when the hot stuff hits hard!
Do not worry. This swan and all other norwegian swans are used to this. I did not mention hunger. They need food and a lot of people are feeding them during the winter. We are feeding them as often we can. Thanks for your comment and have a nice evening.

How do you keep squirrels from the flat opened feeder?

Mr. is definitely narcissistic. Here too. She's too busy worrying about taking care of the house and kids!!
