World Bird Wednesday

Time once again for Word Bird Wednesday!  You don't have to be an experienced bird watcher or photographer (Thank the LORD) to join in the fun.  All you really need is a love of birds--observing them, photographing them, feeding them, learning about them, sharing them, enjoying them--or just ooohing and ahhhing over the finds of others.  Whatever it is you enjoy about birds, join up with Springman's Word Bird Wednesday at The Pine River Review.  You won't be sorry--unless you miss it.

I've been so busy preparing for Birdie's graduation Saturday, I totally forgot to post last week!  This week, GEESE!

A goose, goosing, a goose.

Nice photos of all the geese. The still water and reflections are especially beautiful.

These birds we do have in Norway, too. I can even tell you that community in Drammen(my town) decided to kill them all staying by the river, becouse they produced too much dirt... It is about 3 years ago, but I will never forget the brutality of our authorities... So - very nice to see them again, alive!

Geese are so beautiful and graceful. Yet those little shits can turn on a dime and chase you and bite at you. I found out the hard way! haha. Great pictures!

Ruth- Thank you! We enjoyed watching them.

Mick- Thank you! I love it on days when the water is still and I can get the reflections!

Fjallripan-Thank you so much!

Marias- That's horrible! Did you see it all? How sad. They are so pretty and graceful...thank you for stopping by and commenting!

joco- LOL Yes, I believe that ubiquitous is a good word for them--at least around here!

Gary- Yep, I was laughing so hard at the one goosing the other one that I almost missed the shot.

Foto- Thank you so much!

Barb- I'm laughing at my mental visual of you running from geese and letting them have it at the same time!

Springman- I almost didn't get the shot for laughing at them! They are all together every time they come to the pond, that's for sure!

Birding- Thank you! I always enjoy reflections but am not always able to get good ones.

bailey-Thank you!

Andrew-Thank you! The goosing goose is my favorite! They were hilarious!

Jean- They were out there most of the day and didn't fly away or run off when I got close. I guess they're used to people-not sure if that's good or bad...guess it depends on the people.

Sondra-Thank you so much! Yes, because they stay right there. Those things don't seem to be afraid of anything!
